We are fascinated by Syrian traditional crafts. Particularly traditional embroideries such as Aghabani, which has played an essential role in the Syrian culture for hundreds of years. It was passed from one generation to another, and Damascenes are known to have mastered this technique. Traditionally, repetitive patterns and arabesque geometries are embroidered using gold and silver silk threads.

We attempt in this project to contribute in supporting Syrian crafts and the path of creative individuals. Hence, we are creating a welcoming platform for artists and designers who wish to express through the mean of clothes.

Natural Fabric 

Around 64% of all clothing worldwide are made from synthetic fibres. Synthetics emit chemical waste during the production process, they are known to be carcinogenic, harmful for our health, and they are hard to recycle and dispose.

Natural fabric is our choice in preference to synthetics. It is naturally breathable when it's warm, but also insulating when it's cold. Fabric such as cotton is hypoallergenic and has unique antibacterial properties, making it ideal for sensitive or allergy-prone skin. Also, Natural fabrics are biodegradable and can be easily recycled and reused without harming the environment.

Packaging 

 

Our packaging is made out of residue of paper. It is assembled handmade and glued using starch— a natural Eco-friendly biodegradable and recyclable adhesive, leaving behind little to no residue.  

Slow-Fashion

We are a slow-fashion brand that are mindful and thoughtful about our products. We are continuously sourcing out raw material and eventually collaborating with factories in order to utilize Eco-friendly production methods.

Despite the fact that our brand is produced in smaller batches, we strive to minimize our textile waste. Our tailoring partner, consequently, ensures to sustain most of the residual fabric cuts, turn them into useful products, and donate them.
